Assalamualaikum all my sahabah!

In this post, I am going to share with you guys about our group project which is about Maqasid Syariah.

First of all, what is the definition of Maqasid Syariah?

======================================

It consists of the advantages resulting from the revelation of Islamic Laws.

Maqasid Syariah In Quran

===================

1. وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةًۭ لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

2. يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ قَدْ جَآءَتْكُم مَّوْعِظَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَشِفَآءٌۭ لِّمَا فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ وَهُدًۭى وَرَحْمَةٌۭ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

The word Rahmatan here in both ayah means kindness and beneficence. These ayah revealed to benefit human beings and prevent them from harm.

Categories of Maqasid Syariah

1. Daruriyyah (Essentials)

Life, faith, intellect, lineage, and property are the five essentials. These are regarded as absolute necessities for an individual's survival and spiritual well-being, to the point in which their destruction or collapse would result in chaos and the disappearance of normal order in society.

2. Hajiyyat (Convenience)

Defined as benefits that seek to alleviate severity and hardship in cases where such severity and misery do not endanger the survival of normal order.

For example, Rukhsah has granted to travellers and those in sick. Travellers are allowed to combine and shorten their five obligatory prayers (al-jam’ wa alQasr) and break their fast in Ramadan. 

3. Tahsiniyyah

to achieve improvement and perfection in people's customs and conduct.

The disappearance of tahsiniyyat may not disrupt normal life, but it may result in a lack of comfort.
